Pulsar Audio Lab was founded on the principle that not many musical artists can afford a high budget recording project. We are dedicated to bringing you a commercial recording studio within grasp of even the smallest of demo recording budgets. We understand people rather do recording projects at home with computer-based systems and inexpensive front end equipment. Although many people take this approach, there is still a science and art form to recording and mixing that requires years of training and experience to obtain proper levels, correct use and setup of external gear and commanding stellar performances out of musicians and gear. These issues can contribute to a less than marketable final product. We have the professional skills and equipment at a low cost that is commonly allot less than the investment into personal recording equipment.

We understand that everyone likes to use the most popular vintage and the latest equipment, especially if their favorite artist has used it. We believe that audio equipment are tools whether they are popular or not. All of our equipment is chosen to produce a specific sound, or color as some call it, that is musically appealing and desirable. There is no single piece of gear that will work for all recording situations on all voices or instruments so we have taken heart to have a few different selections of microphones, preamps, compressors and software plug-ins to choose from so we can fit the correct gear to your voice or instrument and not a one-piece-fits-all attitude. We think in analog but work in digital.

We are a privately owned studio. We hand pick which projects we would like to work on. If you are interested in recording your next project with us please contact us to discuss your future sessions.

Services we provide are: Audio and music recording, music production, tracking, overdubbing, mixing, digital audio editing, cassette tape to CD transfers and mastering. All rates include a session engineer. Full production for your project is available and our producer fees are negotiable. We have session musicians available if you need them. Tracking, overdubs, editing and mixing are all done on an hourly basis.

Recording, Tracking & Overdubbing:
We aim to provide a thorough and professional recording service that encompasses all of the fundamental aspects of making a record. Significantly, we work with the simple yet essential understanding of what makes some recordings better than others. Pulsar Audio Lab takes pride in engineering with an acute attention to detail, whilst also taking care to create a relaxed and stimulating environment in which the musician or artist can flourish.

Mixing:
Whether your tracks were recorded at Pulsar Audio Lab or elsewhere, our experience across nearly all forms of music and sound production allow us to offer a sense of depth and character to every project we undertake. Do you already have songs recorded from your personal equipment or another studio and would like them professionally mixed? We can provide mixing solutions to get your project ready for duplication.

• More processing and effects plug-ins than many home-based and project studios could imagine
• We have a variety of monitoring systems to verify your mixes will translate to other listening sources

Mastering:
Mastering is considered the last creative step and is an essential process that provides continuity and consistency, adding the final touch that allows your record to sound finished and playable on a wide variety of systems. We offer a fairly basic mastering services but will usually recommend that you take your mixes to a dedicated mastering studio, there are a few in particular that we know and trust that suit most budgets. Our's and most recommended mastering services are done on a per track basis.

Studio Rates:

One audio master CD-R of your final session files will be provided for free. Additional CD-Rs are $1.00 each.

All sessions are digitally stored for 90 days after completion of project incase you would like to revisit.
